By accessing or using any B Optima Health platform or service, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.
1. Our Role
B Optima Health LLC ("B Optima Health," "we," "us," or "our") operates multiple healthcare platforms and services:
PrEP Stop: A care coordination and access platform that facilitates connections between users and independent third-party licensed healthcare providers, community-based organizations, and licensed pharmacies for HIV prevention services (including PrEP and related care).
PrEP Support Ai: A patient adherence and retention support platform that provides automated SMS-based medication adherence support, educational information, and care coordination assistance for individuals taking PrEP.
This Privacy Policy applies to all B Optima Health platforms and services (collectively, the "Platform").
2. Information We Collect
A. Information You Provide Directly
We may collect the following information when you create an account, enroll in services, or otherwise interact with the Platform:

Date of birth
Address
Email address
Phone number
Account credentials
B. Health-Related Information
Limited health-related information may be collected only as necessary to facilitate care coordination and adherence support services. This may include:
Medication names and dosing schedules
Appointment dates
Laboratory testing dates
General adherence-related information (e.g., missed doses, side effects)
Important: B Optima Health does not store or maintain complete clinical records or medical charts generated by healthcare providers. Clinical records are maintained by the independent healthcare providers who deliver care.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
Operate the Platform: Enable account access, facilitate service delivery, and maintain platform functionality
Facilitate care coordination: Connect you with healthcare providers, pharmacies, laboratories, and community-based organizations
Provide adherence support: Deliver automated SMS-based medication adherence support, educational information, reminders, and retention assistance
Communicate with you: Send appointment reminders, prescription updates, laboratory notifications, adherence support messages, and account alerts
Improve services: Analyze usage patterns to enhance platform functionality and user experience
Comply with legal obligations: Meet regulatory, legal, and safety requirements
We do not use protected health information for advertising or marketing purposes.
4. Communications
We may communicate with you via email, phone calls, and SMS (text messages) for transactional and healthcare-related purposes.
For PrEP Stop services:
Appointment reminders
Prescription updates
Laboratory notifications
Care coordination communications
Account alerts
For PrEP Support Ai services:
Automated SMS conversations providing medication adherence support
Educational information about PrEP medications
Side effect management guidance
Refill reminders
Retention support and check-ins
Responses to your questions about PrEP adherence
These conversations may be powered by artificial intelligence technology designed to provide helpful, educational responses. PrEP Support Ai does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations.
SMS Consent
By providing your mobile phone number and affirmatively consenting during account registration, service enrollment, or through the Platform, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from B Optima Health related to your healthcare services.
Message frequency may vary based on your service enrollment and activity. Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any text message. For assistance, reply HELP or contact support@boptimahealth.com.
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase of any goods or services.
We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
5. How We Share Information
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
A. With Healthcare Providers
We share information with independent, licensed healthcare providers to facilitate your care coordination and telehealth services.
B. With Pharmacies
We may share prescription-related information with licensed pharmacies to facilitate medication fulfillment.
C. With Laboratories
We may share information with laboratories to facilitate HIV and related testing services.
D. With Service Providers
We may share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf (e.g., SMS delivery, technology infrastructure, data storage). These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information.
E. With Community-Based Organizations
For PrEP Stop services, we may share information with partnered community-based organizations to facilitate care coordination and patient navigation services.
F. As Required by Law
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, subpoena, or government request, or to protect the safety of individuals or the public.
G. Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not sell, rent, or share SMS opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. HIPAA Considerations
For certain services, B Optima Health acts as a Business Associate under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) for limited functions such as care coordination and adherence support.
Healthcare providers, pharmacies, and laboratories are independent entities responsible for their own HIPAA privacy practices. B Optima Health does not control how these independent entities use or disclose your protected health information in the course of providing clinical care.
When we act as a Business Associate, we maintain appropriate safeguards to protect the privacy and security of protected health information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
7. Risks Associated with Electronic Communications
Email and SMS communications are not encrypted end-to-end by default. While we use commercially reasonable safeguards, electronic communications may be intercepted, accessed, or viewed by unauthorized third parties.
Health-related information sent via SMS may be stored unencrypted on your mobile device and may be accessible to anyone with access to your device.
By consenting to receive SMS communications, you acknowledge and accept these risks.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, but we cannot guarantee complete security of electronic communications.
8. Data Retention
We retain your information only for as long as necessary to:
Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy
Comply with legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations
Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize it in accordance with applicable law.

We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These safeguards include:
Encryption of data in transit and at rest (where technically feasible)

12. Children's Privacy
The Platform is intended for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor without proper consent, we will delete that information.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors.
We will post the updated Privacy Policy on the Platform with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
For material changes, we may provide additional notice (such as via email or prominent notice on the Platform).
